Customs duties and import taxes may apply depending on your delivery address, where the product is shipped from, and sometimes the country of origin of the goods.
These charges are determined by your local customs authorities, not by MWS, and we are unable to provide specific advice on the amount you may be asked to pay.
Be aware that if you have to pay an import fee to your local authorities, you did not pay VAT on the product to MWS.
To help you prepare, we always indicate the shipping origin on the product page. MWS ships from several locations, including the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Turkey, the USA, and Brazil.
You can check the “Shipping” section on the auction page to see which office your item will be sent from, as shown in the example below:
Key examples:
EU to EU shipments (e.g. Netherlands to France):
VAT will be charged during checkout, but no import duties apply.UK to EU shipments (e.g. United Kingdom to France):
VAT will not be charged during checkout, but import duties may apply.
Please note:
Import fees may be based either on the country of production of the item OR the origin of the shipment. This varies by country. We recommend contacting your local customs authority to confirm whether any fees or taxes will apply when your parcel arrives.
In some cases, import duties or taxes may be invoiced after your parcel has been delivered and may be charged directly by the carrier or MWS. Any such additional charges remain the responsibility of the buyer.
